From The Nightshift: Buffalo Screams Awards

The Insomanic attended Buffalo Screams which was a four day film festival that showed 33 independent movies from all over the world. Most of the fare was horror but there were some crime dramas and a violent western for good measure. Greg Lamberson and Emil Novak chaired the festival and worked long and hard hours to get it running as smooth as clock work. Actress Debbie Rochon, filmmaker Brett Kelly and animator Mike Boas were among the guests.

The festival had some showcase films to anchor the festival: “Slime City Massacre, Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated, Under the Scares, The Facts in the Case of Mister Hollow, The Defiled and Herschell Gordon Lewis: The Godfather of Gore”. And featured many premieres, both to the Western New York region and the World. The festival was well recieved by the movie makers and local audiences. And there will be a festival coming next year.
