Peacock and acclaimed indie studio A24 have officially released the first teaser trailer for Crystal Lake, the highly anticipated prequel series expanding the iconic Friday the 13th horror franchise. In a major announcement for horror fans ahead of the Halloween season, the network confirmed that all eight 60-minute episodes will premiere simultaneously as a full-season binge release on October 15, 2026.

Crystal Lake shifts the focus from Jason to his mother, Pamela Voorhees, exploring the roots of the terror following the tragic drowning of her son. Set nine months after the tragedy, the series follows Pam as she faces mysterious strangers digging into her past, forcing the town to confront the secrets in the woods.

Led by showrunner Brad Caleb Kane (It: Welcome to Derry), the series features Linda Cardellini as Pamela “Pam” Voorhees, with Callum Vinson, William Catlett, Cameron Scoggins, Nick Cordileone, and Adrienne King.
