The Gripping Descent into Madness and Mutation Arrives Exclusively in Theaters October 23
DC Studios invites audiences to look fear in the face this fall with the release of “Clayface,” a riveting horror thriller that marks the studio’s first-ever foray into the genre. Directed by James Watkins (The Woman in Black, Speak No Evil), the film is set to haunt theaters nationwide on October 23.
Starring Tom Rhys Harries (White Lines) in the title role, “Clayface” provides a chilling origin story for one of Gotham City’s most tragic and terrifying villains. The film follows a rising Hollywood star’s horrifying descent into a revenge-filled monster, exploring the total loss of identity, the price of corrosive love, and the dark underbelly of scientific ambition.
Supporting Harries is a powerhouse ensemble cast, including Naomi Ackie (Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody), David Dencik (No Time to Die), Max Minghella (The Handmaid’s Tale), and Eddie Marsan (Ray Donovan).
The screenplay is penned by acclaimed horror veteran Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) and Hossein Amini (Drive), based on a story by Flanagan. Bringing this dark vision to life is an elite producing team including Matt Reeves (The Batman), Lynn Harris (King Richard), and DC Studios co-chairs James Gunn and Peter Safran.
“Clayface” promises to redefine the boundaries of the DC Universe, trading capes for body horror and psychological suspense.
