Tubi Viral Horror Hit “Dark Places” Big Screen Premiere Impresses at Agawam Cinemas

The Tubi/Fawesome horror hit DARK PLACES had its big screen premiere at Agawam Cinemas in Agawam, Massachusetts on Saturday, March 14th, to a near sellout audience. Written and Directed by New England filmmaker, Geno McGahee, DARK PLACES is a throwback to the cult films of the 1970’s like RACE WITH THE DEVIL and DEVIL’S RAIN with a modern twist.

DARK PLACES concerns Natalie Parker, played by Lindsey DeLand, starting her college journey and meeting Jason Evans, played by Jake Tyler. As the two start to fall in love, college professors begin to get slashed to pieces and a rumored Satanic cult is being blamed, headed up by an evil cult leader known as “Goat Head.” The duo must solve the mystery and stop the murders before they become the next target.

The film has been a big hit on both TUBI and FAWESOME and went into the premiere with a full head of steam. McGahee noted that “Agawam Cinemas was exactly the right place to show DARK PLACES. It’s such a great place to go and watch a flick but even better when it’s my own and I really couldn’t be happier to show my film at such a great place.”

The film received a roaring ovation from the audience as the end credits rolled and the cast and crew were there for the Q&A, ending a great night for the latest Xposse Production. DARK PLACES is distributed by Cinema Epoch and is currently available on Tubi and Fawesome with other streaming service announcements coming soon.
