Sacrificios World Premiere at Austin Film Festival 2025
A Haunting Tale of Grief, Faith, and Love in All of Their Most Terrible Contradictions
AUSTIN, Texas— Mexican feature film Sacrificios, written by Mauricio Chernovetzky and Alexander Ioshpe and directed by Mauricio Chernovetzky, will have its World Premiere at the 32nd Annual Austin Film Festival on October 25th with a second screening on October 27th. The Balthus Films movie is a psychological horror thriller that explores the chilling depths one will go to in order to reverse tragic loss. The film stars Jorge A. Jimenez, Siddhartha Tonalli, Frida Astrid, Noé Hernandez, and Costanza Andrade. View teaser here. This premiere marks a key milestone in the film’s international festival journey.
Writer/Director Mauricio Chernovetzky and Writer Alexander Ioshpe will be in attendance for both screenings, with the following talent also attending the first screening: lead actor Jorge A. Jimenez (starring as Juan), actress Frida Astrid (starring as Alma), production designer Adelle Achar, and producer Ernesto Martinez Arévalo.
