Film Review: Theourgia (short film) (2020)

REVIEW:

More short films, kiddies! Today we have THEOURGIA, a film by jorge jaramillo.

I’m not sure where to begin on this one. Its a high concept film, based on a philosphy from Hellenic traditions. I looked it up. Not sure I understand exactly what it means, as there seem to be a few varying definitions.

In this film, we are introduced to two characters, presumably God and the Devil. Things are not exactly how we mortals have thought, and the brothers meet to strike a bargain in relation to our fate.

Visually, its interesting. Its an animated film, but the style is difficult to describe. I assume its computer generated animation, but the designs are…well, pretty darn spooky, to be honest.

Its an interesting watch. I may need to watch it a few more times to wrap my head around it. Either way, I did kinda like it and would recommend it to anyone curious.
