The second Resident Evil game showed off by Capcom at E3 is Resident Evil: Revelations for the Nintendo 3DS. The game features a brand spanking new storyline that brings back series veterans Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield. Like the first-person shooter Resident Evil: Dead Aim for the PS2 and Resident Evil: Gaiden (Boom! Head shot!) for the GBC, the events of Revelations take place on a boat.

In game controls include utilizing the touch screen to solve some in-depth puzzles and speedy cycling through weapons while enjoying a full 3D experience. The game takes place between Resident Evil 4 and 5 and follows the story of BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance) agents. Jill Valentine and her new partner Parker Luciani are searching for Chris Redfield who mysteriously dropped off the map while out investigating a “supposedly abandoned cruise ship.” The cruise ship is Redfield’s last known GPS location. In a new survival horror twist, gamers take to new depths and the exploration underwater is now available and will surely add to the claustrophobic feeling of being trapped on a ship… in 3D!

Resident Evil: Revelations will arrive in stores on April 30th, 2011 for the Nintendo 3DS.

Synopsis:
“Revealing a brand new storyline for the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil: Revelations sees the return to survival horror, offering a tense and intriguing gameplay experience. Built from the ground up to take advantage of the Nintendo 3DS features, Resident Evil: Revelations delivers outstanding visuals that bring the fear to life. The story is set principally on board a supposedly abandoned cruise ship in the Mediterranean. Far from being empty, the ship hides danger around every corner as Jill Valentine explores the confined space of the ship, facing menacing horrors that emerge from the darkness.”
