On the live front, BUTCHER BABIES – frontwomen Carla Harvey and Heidi Shepherd, guitarist Henry Flury, bassist Jason Klein and drummer Chris Warner – have become the must-see band on the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, melting faces and winning over fans and press alike. “BUTCHER BABIES played to the largest and most obedient crowd of the afternoon,” hailed Serene Dominic of AZcentral.com after the band’s blistering set in Phoenix, AZ, citing them as the fourth best set of the festival (following only ROB ZOMBIE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and AMON AMARTH) and adding that they “inspired the biggest and most dangerous circle pit of the day.” Additional early support has come from media heavyweights including Rolling Stone, Loudwire and LA Weekly. Complete Mayhem Festival tour dates are below.
In addition to their recently announced September 14 performance at the upcoming Monster Energy Aftershock festival in Sacramento, CA, BUTCHER BABIES have also been announced as a featured performer at ROB ZOMBIE’S GREAT AMERICAN NIGHTMARE, to be held October 10 – November 2 at the FEARPlex (Fairplex) in Pomona, CA, centrally located in the heart of Southern California and home to the L.A. County Fair, the largest county fair in the world.
BUTCHER BABIES will perform October 26 alongside MOTIONLESS IN WHITE on the coveted last Saturday before Halloween at what is being billed as the ultimate Halloween music and horror event. A collaboration with preeminent haunted house producer Steve Kopelman, ROB ZOMBIE’S GREAT AMERICAN NIGHTMARE will feature three attractions based on Zombie’s films, a Bloody Boulevard offering outdoor screenings of classic horror films, food vendors, beer, wine and spirits, roaming freak show characters, and 15 nights of marquee music acts ranging from metal to alternative, EDM and Latin.
