Review:

WOODS YOU SAY??? Ummmm. I do love going for a walk every day. After watching DOLLY, I thought LONG AND HARD about life in general. DOLLY was shot on 16mm film which is specifically Super 16mm. Justin Derry is the cinematographer. It gives it that awesome gritty feeling. It takes you back to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and American Gothic.

The visuals of DOLLY are just stunning. It is beautiful to see a film shot like this. It sort of feels like a little extra HUG was delivered. You have the chunky font, the intense feelings. It makes you SMILE. The film stars Fabianne Therese as Macy, Russ Tiller as Billy, Michalina Scorzelli as Aunt Sadie, Kate Cobb as Rachel, Ethan Suplee as Tobe, Seann William Scott as Chase, and Max the Impaler of AEW as Dolly.

Chase and Macy are heading out on a hike in the middle of the woods… Do we say bad idea now or later? Macy and Chase are happy and just vibing out while we meet Dolly, and all the dolls. The nightmarish from the depths of hell… under the abyss dolls that you do not allow in bedrooms. I have a CHUCKY and a six-foot tall Leatherface that I look at every day, and I would rather look at my six-foot Leatherface than one of those creepy dolls.

Chase agrees with me regarding the dolls. NO!!! Don’t go check it out. It feels like nobody listens to Randy from SCREAM, ughhhh. (SCREAM 7 was pretty gnarly.)

I guess nobody warned Seann William Scott about what could be lurking in the woods… The kills are brutal, and if knee breaking bothers you… Well, you may want to skip that part. Macy winds up in a house after having one hell of an experience with Dolly. “Hello?” WHY bother? I would have turned my ass around, and HAULED ASS. “You wanna play?” Jigsaw does. It’s creepy because this movie feels like a movie that could actually happen. Dolly is in the middle of the woods, and has everything Dolly needs.

NO F*CKING WAY, DUDE is waking up like that. NOPE, NOPE, NOPE!!! Dolly sort of reminds you of excited, dancing Leatherface. Dolly is showing some compassion towards Macy, if that is what you want to call it. The film is also shot in Chapters. People never learn. You think a little stabby stabby to Dolly was going to slow Dolly down. Now poor Macy is pleading, and NOT living her best life.

For some reason DOLLY makes me want to watch AMERICAN GOTHIC, and MOTEL HELL. Macy went and pissed Dolly off. Chase is in hell basically.

They did such a great job with the effects, the cinematography, Max the Impaler is CRAZY INSANE as DOLLY. Someone else is in the house. I have so many questions. Here’s hoping she did not hide under the bed. WELL, this is a twist. Is this dude supposed to be worse than DOLLY? This is just disturbing… but in a good ole’ fashioned horror movie way.

People sometimes ask how do you watch “those movies before you go to sleep?” These are my comfort movies. The real world is just… awful. I mean, yes there are good people. There are good moments, but the real horror in the world is probably WORSE than any of us could even imagine. SOMEONE call a doctor for that man, and is running even an option? YOU will have to watch to find out. Written by Rod Blackhurst and Brandon Weavil, and directed by Rod Blackhurst.

MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT DOLLY IN THEATERS.
