Cinema Dojo’s acclaimed horror-comedy animated series Meat the Carvers has entered into a multi-episode worldwide television series licensing agreement with American Horrors, one of the oldest running 24/7 linear streaming horror tv channels. The Meat the Carvers streaming television series will premiere Friday, January 30th at 8:30pm CST as part of the American Horrors’ expanded Friday night “Good Time Horror” original programming block on the world’s largest streaming alternative to cable, Roku.
Meat the Carvers follows the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Style misadventures of the Carver family as they skewer all of the classic horror tropes, pop culture soft spots, and bring you some of the best cutting edge gallows humor in 2D animated form. The series of shorts will anchor a powerhouse Friday night lineup alongside Lycanthrope (8pm), Groovey.TV (9pm), and the American Horrors Film Festival (9:30pm).
“We’re really excited to partner with American Horrors and bring Meat the Carvers to their audience,” said Daniel Nation, co-creator of Meat the Carvers. “Hart’s built a great home for independent horror content, and we think his viewers will dig what we’re doing with the show.”
Created by Daniel Nation (co-creator/animator) and Samson Cornette (co-creator/writer/musician), the series has already built a devoted following during it’s run on the Kings of Horror YouTube channel. The show features voice performances from horror legends including Rhonda Shear (Up All Night on USA Network), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp, Terrifier 2), Diana Prince (The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, Halloween Ends), Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie, The Devil’s Rejects), and Frank Dietz (Black Roses, Zombie Nightmare).
“I’m a big transgressive animation fan,” said Hart D. Fisher, founder of American Horrors and new owner of B-Movie TV. “For me, Meat The Carvers has that great South Park ‘Are they really going there?’ kind of fun, partnered with the voices of classic horror pop culture icons like Rhonda and Felissa, whom I’ve been wanting to work with for a very long time for our Groovey TV series. Then there’s the wild card, Dave Sheridan, big fan of his work. Signing the Meat the Carvers tv series was a Flash Gordon jumping up in the air YEAH moment for us.”
American Horrors streams 24/7 on Roku and online at americanhorrors.net, featuring uncut vhs age horror films, exclusive original programming, uncut music videos, grindhouse movie trailers and horror culture content. The channel has accumulated over 27.5 million viewers since it’s Roku launch and continues to grow as the premier destination for independent horror entertainment.
