REVIEW:

More short films, kiddies! Today we have MASQUERADES DAY (MASKARE),

Interesting to find that this is based on a real festival, a Slavic version of Halloween. I’ve been able to find out a bit about it, but not much. Essentially, its the same concept as what we call Halloween – wear a costume, knock on the door, sing a little song. But in this case instead of candy they give out money.

So our hero is answering the door on Masquerades day and is disappointed in the lack of creativity by the revelers. On the phone with a friend, she laments how she and her friends worked so much harder back in their day to get the reward and feels like the kids just don’t get it.

Well, be careful what you wish for, sweetheart.

Short, sweet, to the point, and a lot of fun. ‘Nuff said.
