It’s such an honor to speak with all of you today. I’m so excited for BLOBFEST. Please introduce yourselves today.

 

 

Bob- I’m Bob, I’m the director of programming. I have been with Blobfest since 2007, but I have been working here since 2020.

 

Carly- I’m the Marketing manager. I handle all of the social media surrounding Blobfest. I’m a point of contact for people.

 

 

Jennifer- I’m Jennifer, I’m the Executive Director here. I’m out greeting people and asking them questions.

 

What can everyone expect from Blobfest this year? I can imagine all the time and effort that goes into an amazing festival like this.

 

 

Bob- This is the 25^th anniversary so we wanted to do something special, but I wanted to primarily focus on The Blob.

 

What is one of the most challenging aspects of setting up a festival like Blobfest?

 

Bob- I think for us, it’s to keep it fresh and new.

 

Jennifer- Yes, keeping everything fresh.

 

Do you find social media helpful or hindering?

 

Carly- It can be difficult, and we do put all of the events online, and on social media. There is so much information out there.

 

What do each of you want to say to everyone that will be attending Blobfest?

 

Jennifer- I had never been to a Blobfest, and when I finally saw what it was for the first time, I realized what a family friendly event it is. We will be running out of the theatre. It’s amazing to see everyone from age thirty to ninety, and they are having a good time.

 

 

Bob- It’s a chance to showcase everything. This is a nice warm loving place. I know a lot of people that moved to Phoenixville because of Blobfest. We provide the town another source of revenue. We help the town, and the town helps us.

 

Carly- It’s great to have all of the creative people in this space.
