Devils, space ninjas, and giant bears not-so-creatively named Kuma to choose from are only scraping the surface of the fighters to choose from in NamcoBandai’s popular video game fighter series. Throw into the mix family bloodline drama, feuding assassin sisters, and fighting blocks of wood and it could honestly be said that the TEKKEN franchise has it all. With the introduction of new characters in each game following the storyline for each one can get a little tricky.
NamcoBandai realized this and made an animated feature film that will shine a little light on why those seemingly random groups of people are constantly kicking the crap out of one another. Why does Jin Kazama hate his father Kazuya Mishima? Why does Kazuya Mishima hate his father Heihachi Mishima? What’s the deal with Hwoarang’s obsession with Jin Kazama anyway? Hopefully TEKKEN: BLOOD VENGEANCE will answer these questions. The film opens in 3D for a “One Night Only Event” on July 26th, 2011. TEKKEN: BLOOD VENGEANCE has a run time of 2 hours and after the film a special 20 minute interview with the project director and screenwriter will screen.
Synopsis:
“TEKKEN: BLOOD VENGEANCE 3D will give fans a look into history and motivations of the fighters who join the King of Iron Fist Tournament.”
