Director Mario Cerrito and Slaughterhouse Films are proud to announce that the final installment of the notorious cannibal trilogy,
Human Hibachi 3: The Last Supper, has been awarded the prestigious “Grand Grotesque” (Best of the Fest) award at the 2026 Darkside New Jersey Film Festival.
The festival, held at the Darkside New Jersey Art & Oddities Expo, recognized the film as the standout entry among a competitive field of extreme and transgressive cinema. This victory marks a significant milestone for the franchise, as it ensures that every entry in the Human Hibachi saga has secured a major festival win.
“Winning this award was very meaningful… this now gives all three films in the Human Hibachi franchise an award on their name,” said director Mario Cerrito.
Human Hibachi 3: The Last Supper features horror icons Debbie Rochon and Lloyd Kaufman, following a story of a man suffering from hyper-religiosity who leads a devout cult to a “last supper” where sacrificed humans are the main course.
