The cult classic “The Return of the Living Dead” has been highly revered by horror fans for almost four decades. Celebrating its 40th Anniversary next year, the ROTLD Originals LLC are back from the graveyard and ready to party.
Michael Joy of Joyhorror Entertainment and Marketing Macabre will serve as the official publicist for the ROTLD Originals LLC for the franchise’s next installment, “Linnea Quigley’s Trash’s Revenge – Return of the Living Dead Universe.”
Linnea Quigley, an iconic 80’s scream queen known for her roles in “Night of the Demons,” “Creepozoids,” and “Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers,” returns to her most memorable role as the rebellious punk rock girl, Trash, in “The Return of the Living Dead.” Quigley is ready to revisit the character of Trash almost 40 years later, but with a whole new batch of problems.
Joining Linnea Quigley in the Return of the Living Dead Universe are original cast members Beverly Randolph, Thom Mathews, John Philbin, Drew Deighan, and Miguel Nunez. The project will also feature the talents of composer Francis Haines and makeup artist Tony Gardner.
“It’s my extreme pleasure to represent the ROTLD Originals LLC for this project. George Romero set the bar high for zombie movies, but ‘The Return of the Living Dead’ was up for the challenge by embracing the MTV generation and made ALL these characters into the rock stars of the horror genre,” said Michael Joy.
In the original film, two bumbling employees at a medical supply warehouse accidentally release a deadly gas into the air, causing the dead to rise again as zombies. It will be most interesting to see how DRagon Studios revisit those glory days of horror with “Trash’s Revenge.”
