As Slasher prepares to open the invite-only sneak preview to its web browser
version of the social network for horror, a list of new features and changes has been released.
The main areas of Slasher that will see the most notable changes include: Events, Groups,
Dating, and perhaps most exciting, Movies.
In addition to giving horror fans the ability to write reviews and hide spoilers from others, the
extremely popular Movies section of Slasher will have a couple of innovative new features to
make it easier for everyone to find movies they might like.
For the first time, horror fans will have a simple visual rating system, which they can use to
decide how gory a movie is. Whether you love to see blood and guts or not, Slasher’s new
“Gore Factor” feature can help everyone find the kind of movies they’re looking for.
Another Slasher first answers the question horror fans are always asking: “is it worth
watching?”. The “Worth Watching?” feature is a quick and easy way for people to vote on a
movie being worth checking out or not. This is the TLDR (too long; didn’t read) of reviews and
ratings.
Events will have the addition of a new feature that allows horror fans to find events by location,
no matter where they are in the world.
Some features that are temporarily going away include: Dating, Groups, and even the existing
mobile app. Even though the mobile app will be going away for a short time, a new one will take
its place very soon. In the meanwhile, everyone will still have full access to Slasher through the
website.
