Netflix has officially dropped the highly anticipated first trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, marking the explosive return of Brad Pitt to his Oscar-winning role.
In a massive cinematic convergence, the film is directed by thriller auteur David Fincher from a screenplay penned by Quentin Tarantino. Fans won’t have to wait long to experience the cinematic event, as it hits IMAX screens on November 25, 2026 for an exclusive two-week engagement before streaming on Netflix on December 23.

Serving as a standalone sequel and spin-off to Tarantino’s 2019 masterpiece Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, this new chapter jumps ahead eight years to 1977. The cultural landscape has completely shifted, and so has Cliff’s career path. No longer just a stuntman riding the coattails of Rick Dalton—who according to Cliff in the trailer, “got too fat”—Booth has transitioned into the gritty, volatile role of a Hollywood studio fixer. When he isn’t managing high-stakes industry disasters, he’s keeping his head down working as a bartender and a projectionist.
The Ultimate Creative Powerhouse
Boasting a massive estimated production budget of $200 million, The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth represents the most expensive collaboration ever between Fincher and Tarantino. The teaser immediately showcases a darker, more textured look than its predecessor, sporting a stellar behind-the-scenes pedigree:
- Cinematography: Captured by Oscar-winner Erik Messerschmidt (Mank).
- Music: A sleek, atmospheric score composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
