SYNOPSIS:

If you can’t beat them, become them.

REVIEW:

More short films, kiddies! Today we have VENGEANCE BLOODY VENGEANCE, a perfectly low-budget short from the USA written, directed, and starring Adam Michaels and Chaz Dray.

So this lo-fi masterpiece was both written and filmed in one night in Chicago with a total budget of 35.00 dollars. You read that right – 35 bucks. No special lighting, one camera, and a lot of guerilla filmmaking. Apparently our filmmakers were kicked out of several locations as they tried to get this thing done. That’s what happens when you don’t get permits, kids.

Anyway, our story focuses on a street fighter seeking to save the world from supernatural threat, apparently at any price. Narrated in the first person, we follow our hero as he scours the city for this evening’s target.

The film feels like a prelude to a larger story. Maybe the filmmakers were hoping to create a feature from this short. I don’t really know, but it’s a fun stand-alone story that leaves you wanting to know what’s next. The pair have another short film “MORBIUS THE LIVING VAMPIRE” that may or may not be related to this one.

No spoilers. you’ll just have to see for yourself.

Using my special short scale of one to five, five being awesome, I’m giving this film 4 vampires.
