Shriekfest Announces it’s second surge of films for 2015!

SHRIEKFEST INTERNATIONAL HORROR/SCIFI FILM FESTIVAL is thrilled to announce its second surge of films for the FIFTEENTH annual festival!  Shriekfest brings you the BEST in independent horror and scifi!  “We are so excited for our 15th year and this slate of films!” says festival director Denise Gossett.  Shriekfest is Oct 1-4.  www.shriekfest.com

CLINGER: Directed by Michael Steves.   When her possessive high school boyfriend dies in a gruesome accident, Fern Petersen’s life is thrown into turmoil. Things go from bad to worse when he returns as a love-sick ghost to kill her so they can be together for eternity. Bolstered by a cast of off-beat characters, CLINGER is a wickedly clever blood-soaked teen horror movie that takes paranormal love to a whole new level. Clinger stars Vincent Martella (The Walking Dead) and Jennifer Laporte, Debbie Rochon (Tromeo & Juliet, Terror Firmer).

The Divine Tragedies: Directed by Jose Prendes. Based on a brutal crime. The Leopold and Loeb murder case, of Chicago, would shock the world. Two brothers thought they could commit the perfect crime, the murder of a young boy. But, the authorities were hot on their trail. In the film’s story, actor Ken Foree plays Det. Homer Gaul. Gaul is intent on ending the brothers’ wanton killing he just has to find them first. But, Charles and Thomas have plans of their own.  Starring Graham Denham (Night of the Living Dead 3D,The Haunting of Whaley House), Jon Kondelik (Rise of the Zombies), Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead, The Devil’ Rejects), Lynn Lowry (The Crazies), and scream queen Barbara Crampton.

The Answer:  Directed by Iqbal Ahmed.   After being attacked, an introverted young man must follow clues left by his dead parents and, in doing so, he unravels the terrifying plans of the uniformed men that are after him and discovers the shocking truth about himself . . . he is special. The last thing he ever wanted.  Starring Austin Hebert (True Blood ), Alexis Carra (Bones, Grey’s Anatomy) and David S. Lee (Blood Diamond, Nikita).

Interior: Directed by Zachary Beckler.   When a mysterious letter is found hidden inside a family’s new home, Sam, a struggling filmmaker, is hired to capture evidence of the supernatural events plaguing their young daughter. What starts out as a simple paranormal investigation leads to one long, terrifying night, forcing Sam to confront his disbelief as footage begins turning up on his equipment that he did not record. Isolated and alone with a dark force identified as Emily, Sam and his cameras are taken on a digital journey through the unknown and beyond. Starring Christopher Carullo and Piper Rae Patterson. All I Need:  Directed by Dylan K. Naring.   An insecure young woman must overcome her captor to save her own life, all the while not knowing the sinister reason she’s really being held.  Starring Caitlin Stasey, Markus Taylor, and Holly Twyford.
