Season Two of ‘The Walking Dead’ Won’t Feast on Viewer’s Brains Until October 2011

The good: Frank Darabont will return to the director’s chair for thirteen episodes of the second season of AMC’s mega hit show ‘The Walking Dead.’ The bad: The show will probably not return for its second season until October 2011 as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The reason for the pushback appears to be the large viewer draw that the channel gets with Fearfest, AMC’s annual horror movie marathon that airs every October and served as the launching pad for the show’s premiere. Hopefully the long wait will produce high quality programming.
