GODZILLA 2 – Yeah, It’s In The Works

No real surprise here but Legendary Pictures and Warner Brother’s have let it be known that we all can indeed expect a GODZILLA 2 in our future.

While the film isn’t pulling much critical acclaim it does indeed seem to be a hit with movie goers and while the coming weeks will tell if makes it to blockbuster status it would seem that the powers that be are pleased enough with a $103 million dollar opening weekend to start the gears rolling on a part two.

It is being assumed at his point that direct Gareth Edwards will be involved and according to Deadline he has spoken about a sequel saying he would “use the same kind of restraint that he did for this one.”

If that is a good thing or not I will leave for you to discuss.

Obviously much more on this as everything moves forward but it sounds like we’ll be talking GODZILLA for several more years to come.
