Gareth Edwards made quite the splash a few years back when ‘Monsters’ hit – hell it got him the directors gig on ‘Godzilla’ so he must have been doing something right. Well, Edwards isn’t in the directors chair this time around but he still very much has a hand in things as a producer. Tom Green directs and tonight we get a look at his handy work in this UK trailer for the film. No … Continue reading
It was Legendary Pictures turn to take over Hall H at SDCC and they made great use of their time. Last year they had one of the biggest announcements of the event when they let the world know what they were up too with ‘Godzilla’ and they tried to replicate that this year when Gareth Edwards showed up via video message to announce that ‘Godzilla 2′ is a go! No real surprise there I suppose, … Continue reading
Godzilla (2014) is the hottest monster film of the summer of 2014 with an epic battle between the King of the Monsters and a pair of kaiju creatures called M.U.T.O. SFX Artist Vincent Guastini (Monsters TV, Dogma, VHS 3: Viral) joins the grue-crew to take a bite out of the mammoth $93 million haul the film earned its opening weekend. Vincent with Dave and Santos at this side roars âI want more Godzilla in my Godzilla moviesâ … Continue reading
No real surprise here but Legendary Pictures and Warner Brother’s have let it be known that we all can indeed expect a GODZILLA 2 in our future. While the film isn’t pulling much critical acclaim it does indeed seem to be a hit with movie goers and while the coming weeks will tell if makes it to blockbuster status it would seem that the powers that be are pleased enough with a $103 million dollar … Continue reading
SYNOPSIS: The world’s most famous monster is pitted against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence. REVIEW: It’s indeed a daunting task for anyone besides the good folks at Toho Studios to want to take on a new Godzilla film, especially after the abomination that Roland Emmerich’s 1998 version turned out to be. It’s even more daunting when the only other film you’ve directed was a no budget potboiler that … Continue reading
I had decided I wasn’t going to post any more GODZILLA news until the film came out. You all have got to be getting tired of the “article a day” that has been bombing your eyeballs for the last month but then they sent this to my inbox! I mean seriously – how freaking cool is that!
The first film clip from GODZILLA got released today and it features Ken Watanabe and David Strathairn deciding to “let them fight.” In the clip we see the flying monster that Godzilla will be up against and reports are calling this beast MUTO. No idea what a MUTO is but I know it looks damn cool. Damn this is looking so fine. May 16th can not get here fast enough.
This past weekend was Wonder Con and one of the most highly anticipated events as this years con was the GODZILLA panel. The biggest buzz to come out of the panel was the six minutes of footage that they showed. It has popped up online a half dozen times or so through out today and each and every time Warner Brother’s has promptly followed the leaked footage up with a quick “cease and desist” that … Continue reading
It’s a new day and that can mean only one thing, more GODZILLA news! Yesterday brought us a nice new one sheet so it would only make sense that today it’s coolness of a video nature. Behold a new 30 second TV spot that features some dramatic flare and ends with a pretty kick as shot of everyone’s favorite giant lizard. Check it out right now!
The GODZILLA PR machine rolls on and it shows no sign of slowing down as we creep ever closer to that May 16th debut date. It’s all good by me as I’m loving all the hype and when it comes to these one sheets, the next is always better than the last. And, that leads us to this: Oh, hell ya!
Warner Bros. and Legendary continue with their “trickle a day” statagy with information on the arguably most looked forward too flick this year, GODZILLA. Today’s “trickle” brings us a brand new photo of the big guy and he’s giving us a pose today. Check it out!
We’ve been teased and taunted with little clips, features and snippets for weeks now and now we have this. Our first “extended look” at the big lizard in action. Not much else to say, you know all the facts on this one so, settle in and check this out!
Pretty much every day now we get some kind of press from the folks over at the GODZILLA camp and today it’s a new teaser poster that looks a lot like an earlier one with the big guy heading left instead of right this time. Take a look! Yeah, a little different but not much still, pretty damn good looking.
Shaping up to be a big day for GODZILLA news. Earlier I showed you that awesome EMPIRE cover that gave us our first really good look at the big guy and now I have for you, his voice. All GODZILLA fans know, the roar is one of the most important things about a Godzilla film. Give a listen and see if you think they got it right:
It has finally arrived! Since SDCC the whole universe of geekdom has been eagerly awaiting this day. The day that the first official trailer for GODZILLA is thrust upon the world. Enough babbling, here’s the goods: And so the onslaught begins. The next few months should bring an endless parade of stills, teases, poster and interviews so strap in, the year of GODZILLA is about to begin.
We are just a few short days away from Comic Con and as such the PR machines for the events bigger presentations are begining to crank up and there are few movies bigger then Warner Bros. take on GODZILLA. They are hosting several events, one of which titled the GODZILLA ENCOUNTER which is what this poster is promoting:
Warner Brothers sent out a press release confirming all the info I’ve been telling you the last weeks but they also sent along a video from the set showing all sorts of assorted destruction. First up, here is what the press release confirms: Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have announced the final principal cast for the upcoming tent pole Godzilla. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, and Juliette Binoche are starring in the film, … Continue reading

In the flood of independent films utilizing the âshaky camâ technique, Gareth Edwardsâ film âMonstersâ has emerged from the tepid waters as a film festival darling. The movieâs premise is unique for a horror film. It focuses on the relationship between a man and woman as they desperately try to make their way home from a foreign land infested with aliens. Instead of focusing on the monsters and the madness that would usually accompany such … Continue reading
