The first being that it was dismissed by critics as being not up to the standards of other Arnold Schwarzenegger movies. This factor also arriving from the film surfacing between the … Continue reading

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger montage

During the eighties a new breed of action star arrived on the world’s big screens. Not so much a hero as an invincible superhero straight from the pages of a comic book, this was the walking embodiment of the old adage ‘Might Is Right’. The crux of his argument was a sword or an uzi, his conversation consisted generally of witty one-liners slapped on the end of violence like exclamation marks. He was a barbarian, … Continue reading

Film Review: Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)

SYNOPSIS: John Connor is now in his 20’s, and a female terminator, called T-X or Terminatrix, is after him. Another T-101 is sent back through time to protect John once again on the verge of the rise of the machines. Film Review: The Running Man (1987)

The-Running-Man-1987-Movie-8

REVIEW: Arnold Schwarzenegger was just on the cusp of superstardom when this film about a dystopian future in which enemies of the state are forced to participate in a televised game show where they are mercilessly hunted down by a group of highly stylized assassins. When it was released it was an entertaining bit of nonsense but … Continue reading

Total Recall Remake

Riding the remake wave Universal Pictures is remaking Total Recall. In the iconic role of Douglas Quaid that Arnold Schwarzenegger played we get Colin Farrell this time. While not an out right terrible casting decision it is an odd one. I am none too thrilled with the idea of a remake though as the original is remains fantastic to this day. There are so many great lines, scenes, and characters that I find it hard … Continue reading
