Film Review: Zeik’s Bad Day (Web Series) (2010)

It’s that time of year again, when all our sick little fancies ooze out of our psyches, after an eleven month stint being buried deep within repression-land, and everyone gets to be whoever, or whatever, they want, if just for the night. Yes, Halloween is a magical night, (and to anyone who says different I hope it’s tricks for you,) when all the Boils and Ghouls (John Kassir, forgive me) can … Continue reading

John Carpenter Still Hard at Work

While John Carpenter saw most of his success in the seventies and eighties he still has not quit. Personally I say good for him. He has seen so many of his classic films remade already such as Halloween, Assault on Preceinct 13, and The Fog. His latest work is titled Darkchylde based on the graphic novel by Randy Queen. Richard Taylor will be doing the special effects on this film as … Continue reading

Red State is a Wrap

Kevin Smith finished filming AND editing Red State this week. The reason for this is that Kevin likes to edit his own films and in this case he was editing while shooting the film. He had it done so quickly that in a unprecedented move he screened the entire film for the Cast and Crew at the wrap party. Since it’s in the bag Kevin posted on his twitter feed “trick … Continue reading

New(ish) Leatherface Film?

News has come out that Adam Marcus ( Jason Goes To Hell) and Debra Sullivan have written a screenplay that follows the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre before it moves forward 35 years. This means that it will pick up exactly where the original left off and not a day later. This will be done in 3D (shocking I know) and is tentatively being called Leatherface 3D. Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures will be teaming up to … Continue reading

Saw (3D) VII Box Office

Saw VII which is said to be the final Saw film (don’t believe it)  in the long running franchise opened this weekend to some good numbers. So far it appears to have earned $24.2 million which is good but still far below what it used to do. The only movies to open lower than this were the first Saw and Saw VI. This also means that as far as the matchup between Paranormal Activity 2 … Continue reading

Diora Baird Sets the Record Straight on Topless Scene

Diora Baird came out and said that she is not actually topless in Night of the Demons. It may have appeared that she was but it was actually prosthetic breasts in that scene and if you watch the clip below you can tell what she is talking about. Still looks to be a great gorefest movie and if you want to see what you can expect from this flick then watch the clip. Consider yourself … Continue reading

Curse of the Werewolf

Michael Ripper, an introduction

This Halloween season, I’ve been sitting down each weekend with my nine year old daughter to watch the Hammer horror festival on Turner Classic Movies. As we began our third week of flicks to enjoy, my daughter made an enlightening observation; she began to recognize a recurring actor in many of the films we … Continue reading
