The Amazing Blake Crouch Novel ‘Abandon’ Is Heading To The Small Screen

If you follow horror fiction these days then one of the names that should be on the tip of your tongue is Blake Crouch.  One of the best writers out there, churning out the blood and mayhem at a fever pace.  If you haven’t checked out his work yet – rectify that situation immediately.  His stuff is awesome!

With that in mind comes the news today that USA Network is planning on bringing one of his work to the small screen. Crouch and collaborator Chad Hodge are hard at work adapting the story for the channel.

Crouch and Hodge recently teamed up to adapt Crouch’s ‘Pines’ trilogy for FOX – we’ll all get to see that soon as the limited series ‘Wayward Pines’.  This time they will adapt a tale that goes like this:

“Abandon straddles two time periods and centers on a group of explorers who set out to uncover the mysteries of Abandon, a small mining town deep in the mountains of Colorado whose entire population disappeared on Christmas Eve more than a century ago. However, the eclectic crew is quick to discover that the town may not be as empty as they originally believed.”

I love Crouch’s work – he is one of my favorites so I can’t wait to see this one come to fruition.  No word on when we might be seeing this one but keep it here and as info rolls in – I’ll pitch it your way.
