V/H/S/2 Gets It’s VOD Debut Date

The sequel to last years hit anthology series V/H/S opened at the SXSW festival last night. Haven’t heard how it went yet but I am assuming that they continued with the fine ground work they laid in the original. Magnet Releasing let it be known that a VOD premiere date has been set and that date is June 6th.

A theatrical release will follow on July 12th and if Magnet holds true to form, a Blu-ray release will follow shortly after that. Along with the VOD announcement they also released a couple new stills. First up though, all the info on the project.

Like the original V/H/S/2 will feature the work of an ensemble of directors, this project will feature the talents of Simon Barrett, Adam Wingard, Edúardo Sanchez, Gregg Hale, Timo Tjahjanto, Gareth Huw Evans and Jason Eisener. The short official synopsis explains the premise:

Searching for a missing student, two private investigators break into his abandoned house and find another collection of mysterious VHS tapes. In viewing the horrific contents of each cassette, they realize there may be terrifying motives behind the student’s disappearance.

The stills that were sent along are both from the segment “Safe Haven” Directed by Timo Tjahjanto and Gareth Huw Evans.
