Podcast: Monster Movie Podcast Episode 39 – Warm Bodies – Super Bowl Trailers – A Haunting in Connecticut 2 Ghosts of Georgia

Welcome to the Monster Movie Podcast. Join us this week for zombies in love, super bowl trailers and a poorly titled ghost tale. This is episode 39 recorded February 06, 2013. This week features two new reviews, the theatrical release Warm Bodies and the VOD/DVD release A Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia. Then co-hosts Thomas and Doc Rotten discuss the trailers that premiered throughout Super Bowl XLVII.

Continuing their discussion from Episode 30 where Thomas and Doc previewed the trailer, the dastardly duo review the zombie rom-com, Warm Bodies, now that it is out in theaters. Thomas hits Doc over the head with the obvious – that the screenplay (based on a popular teen novel) draws its inspiration from Romeo & Juliette.

Then while discussing the genre related super bowl trailers, including Iron Man 3, Oz the Great and Powerful and Star Trek Into Darkness, Doc both wonders where the eff was a Pacific Rim trailer and why does The Fast and the Furious 6 looks so damned good. (Tank Racing, suggests Thomas.) All this and the World War Z trailer still sucks.

Then the impossible happens and Doc actually likes A Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia. Thomas doesn’t quite share Dpc’s enthusiasm but admits it is far better than the first, totally unrelated, Haunting film.
