A Hellraiser without Doug Bradley?!?!

The Hellraiser franchise has seen it’s share of ups and downs. The first two were phenomenal and the third was a big disappointment to say the least. Let’s not even talk about the fourth one in this series. Through it all there has been one constant however. It’s that Doug Bradley has been Pinhead. He plays the character well (as well as a script will allow) and has always been a fan favorite horror movie monster. It seems though that a new Hellraiser movie being worked on titled Hellraiser: Revelations will not have Doug Bradley in it. Now this is separate from the remake which is still in development but it appears that Doug won’t be in Hellraiser Revelations because he feels it’s being rushed to much. He truly feels that Dimension is rushing the project far too fast and that they’re not making a serious attempt to revive the franchise. This is from the same actor who did appear in the Hellraiser 3 and 4, as well as all the straight to video Hellraiser films. If he has this to say about the latest in the franchise then I am definitely turned off. I mean how awful do you think this will turn out when Doug Bradley thinks it’s rushed and not doing anything to revive the franchise?

There is still no word yet on who will play Pinhead but expect the same reaction that fans had when a new actor was announced to play Freddy Krueger. Sure it might be okay but the studio had better tread lightly here.
