A&E is amping up the promo machine for their Mick Garris directed adaptation of Stephen King’s BAG OF BONES. To refresh you a bit, it’s a two part mini-series that will be airing on the network starting Dec.11th.

Bag of Bones” is a ghost story of grief and lost love’s enduring bonds, about an innocent child caught in a terrible crossfire and a new love haunted by past secrets. Melissa George (“In Treatment”), Annabeth Gish (“Brotherhood”), Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls), William Schallert (“The Patty Duke Show”), Jason Priestley (“Beverly Hills, 90210”) and Caitlin Carmichael (“True Blood”) also star.

If you haven’t give the book a read, here’s what the story is all about:

BAG OF BONES is the story of grief and lost love’s enduring bonds, an innocent child caught in a terrible crossfire and a new love haunted by past secrets. Bestselling novelist Mike Noonan, played by Pierce Brosnan, is unable to stop grieving after the sudden death of his wife Jo. A dream inspires him to return to the couple’s lakeside retreat in western Maine where he becomes involved in a custody battle between the daughter of an attractive young widow and the child’s enormously wealthy grandfather, the mysterious ghostly visitations, the ever-escalating nightmares and the realization that his late wife still has something to tell him.

Great cast. We’ve got Pierce Brosnan, Melissa George, Annabeth Gish, Anika Noni Rose, Caitlin Carmichael, William Schallert and Jason Priestley all lending their talents. Hell, I’m on board just to watch Melissa George do her thing!

Here’s the clip, it’s short but effective:
