The poster for the movie TWISTED depicts a guy stripped down to his skivvies wearing the rims from his car as a makeshift form of battle armor. Gripped tightly in his hand is a wrench and he doesn’t look afraid to use it. Welcome to the latest horror comedy from writer/director Chai Yee Wei. No stranger to the world of Asian filmmaking, Wei assembled talent from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan and the cast includes many notable names and the project boasts “some of the best comedic and acting talent from around this region.” The film stars Mark Lee, Zhu Mi Mi, and Linda Liao.

TWISTED opens on July 8th, 2011 in Singapore. Released dates for Malaysia and Taiwan will be announced at a later date.

Synopsis:
“The story revolves around a drug dealer who banged up a young girl, a pair of con men who wants to turn over a new leaf, and 4 cabin crews whose lives were turned upside down over a fateful night of drugs and booze. This is a story of individuals with fates intertwined and how their paths clash. A series of twisted events that is both a study on cause and effect, and how our actions affect the people around us.”Learn more about this film at the Official Hot Cider Films website located here: http://hotciderfilms.com
