Haunted Honeymoon

Trailer: Fright Night

During the MTV movie awards they debuted the new trailer for FRIGHT NIGHT and you know what? It’s actually half decent.

I know a lot of you are really down on this truly unneeded retelling of the classic vampire tale but I have to tell you, this new trailer gives at least a glimmer of hope that it’s not going to totally blow.

August 19th will bring Charlie and friends to you local theater.

I’m really trying to keep an open mind on this one. I loved the original and I think Colin Farrell is a great actor. I’m down for seeing it. :)

Alright. I’m in a weird position of having thought the first was about a 5 out of 10. The vampire sometimes had a deep enough sun tan to remind me of Soul Man, and would be very pale at other times. Sometimes in the same scene. For no good reason, either. But, hey, Roddy McDowell was a blast.

So, looking at this remake: The stage magician looks to be Philip Swann with his edgy attire updated. I’m pretty sure you don’t wear your hair that loose under a wig. Anyway.

I was pleasantly surprise by how the Night of the Demons remake kept the feel of the original by very specifically not being the original. There have been cases where I do the unspeakable in fandom and enjoy a remake more than the original. So, I really just do not know how to feel about this one.
