Plan Nine – A re-imagining of the infamous Ed Wood classic

Hey Acolytes old & new, The Black Saint is here to hip all of you to an upcoming release from Darkstone Entertainment. A re-imagining of the infamous Ed Wood classic “Plan Nine From Outer Space” to be called simply “Plan Nine”!!

“Plan Nine” is in the words of it’s director John Johnson, “A serious minded retelling of the original story, paying homage to the spirit of Wood’s original film without resorting to camp or parody. The film will focus on the horror & science fiction aspects of the original while being largely character driven”.

The film has cast talented actor Brian Krause (Sleepwalkers, Charmed) in the lead role of Jeff Trent & also features original “Plan 9 From Outer Space” star Conrad Brooks as well as Scream Queen extraordinare (and the hardest working woman in show business…seriously) Monique “Original Gata” Dupree! All of them & many others have come together to make what Director John Johnson says will “Honor the original source material, but also Ed Wood’s intentions when he directed the original”. Johnson wants to create a truly scary film..one that not only honors Ed Wood & his dreams but scares modern audiences today! You gotta love the guy, not only does he has gumption to want to tackle a project like this but he’s doing it on a (admittedly) low budget. But he wears his aspirations on his sleeve & the film is looking awesome right now!
