Could there be a ‘SAW 8’?

I have heard plenty of rumors that even though tabloids and news from all over the web have explicitly mentioned that Saw 3D would be the last and final part of the franchise, there’s been mention of at least two more. Unfortunately, the press has made it abundantly clear that Saw 3D would in fact be the last one of the franchise, but the writers behind this masterpiece think differently. Most people believe that this franchise would die after the 6th one, since the mastermind behind Jigsaw’s character, Tobin Bell, was supposedly killed off. However, Betsy Russell, who plays Jigaw’s ex-wife Jill in the films is the first one to make it known that SAW 8 could happen. Russell was quoted as saying:

“Before we thought it was ending with Saw 3D, the writers came up with an unbelievable idea for Saw 8. It’s an amazing story that I would love to see… We want to end near the top, with our integrity in tact and not letting the characters die a slow death, so to speak. But I believe in my heart that someday, somehow, Saw 8 will happen.”

So there you have it folks, straight from the master’s ex-wife mouth. It’s not determined yet on whether or not Lionsgate executives and the writers from the franchise will move forward with this or not, but keep your eyes and ears peeled.

  1. saw 8 should happen, and let detective hoffman have one more test. because when he killed seth baxter….jigsaw tested him and he changed his life…so when he killed jill tuck..he should get tested again and then end the saw series of dr.gordon letting hoffman live his life!!!

  2. i hope they make 1 more they got to because its got to show dr gordons wife and daughter since we havnt seen them since #1. who the 2 pig masked people were at the end of saw 7 and all the living people. the police should find out that hoffman and gordon are involved and kill them both and that would be a great ending
