SYNOPSIS:

A single mother and her son struggle to stay alive in a shattered and brutal land where the undead roam the Earth

REVIEW:

A 10 minute short directed by Christian Cantamessa feels like a really cool episode plucked straight out of a top notch zombie film. I’ve seen my share of these things, and there is definitely a movie waiting to happen wit this short. A mother and son are in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. House boarded up, gun in hand, and a belief that all is just a game to get thru the day. They constantly ask each other What is real?” to cope with the deadly reality that has come upon them. The boy earns badges when he does a good job. That is …stays alive and kills off zombies. The mother does the best she can with a loaded shot gun. As these creatures invade the living room, they break into full combat mode. These zombies are no pushovers as they run, leap and attack with the fury of rabid beasts.

Well done FX work, great camera flow and a pretty impressive production makes this a stand out piece by a long shot. Christian Cantamessa has proven he has what it taKes in our current wave of zombisms…now let’s see what kind of film he can follow up with. If I’m not mistaken, I believe there is a book on the market by a similar name.
