New Trailer for I Spit On Your Grave remake

A new trailer on the remake of the mother of all exploitation films hit the internet this weekend. This is a film that was made in 1978 and remains controversial today. When footage from this movie was screened at the Fantasia Film Festival it caused one audience member to pass out, hurting himself in the process. Another member of the audience is said to have gotten up during the Q&A and just try to rip the director apart by accusing him of making a pointless gore film. While I understand his reaction you have to try to understand the overall intent as well. It’s meant to be more of an empowering film.

I would hope most people don’t like seeing rape even in a fictionalized movie but the point is that she overcomes it and uses that against them. Her own sexuality was used to lure each rapist to their untimely death. It also demonstrates that the rapists were dumb, ignorant, wastes on society that no one should ever want to be like. This film is sure to draw a lot of criticism as it becomes more and more mainstream closer to it’s release date. If people felt that the Paranormal Activity 2 trailer was too scary then this film would break their feeble little minds.
