‘The Thing’ Remake Goes Behind-the-Scenes With Cast & Crew

As some of you may or may not already know, John Carpenter’s The Thing is being remade, but I have the feeling that this may be just as good if not better than the original, especially from some of the on set production photos I’ve seen so far. What’s really cool is that ShockTillYouDrop.com got some exclusive production content from the set of The Thing that can be seen here. Below are several photos, including Helen Mirren using a flamethrower (much to the point of the original) to weed out the alien species, along with a few other photos.

  1. Much as I hate to sound like a no it all that’s Mary Elizabeth Instead not Helen Mirren who’s about 40 years older

  3. ‘The 1980 remake did a COMPLETE injustice to the ORIGINAL,(1951) Howard Hawks version!!! ‘The Thing (from another world) Maybe people should try to find and view the original, full length (88 minute) version and compare it with the 1980 film.
