‘The Exorcist’ writer asks judge to expose Warner Bros demons

William Peter Blatty, author of THE EXORCIST, has filed a law suit against Warner Bros. film company claiming that they have made a lot more money off of the film than what they claiming and he is not being paid his fair share.

According to the court documents he filed in a federal court on Friday, he claims “The Exorcist” has grossed more than $400 million worldwide in theaters and that adjusting for inflation, it’s the top grossing R-rated movie of all time. He also reported that he has repeatedly asked Warner Bros to open their books multiple times so that he may see if he is getting his appropriate percentage of the earnings but they have denied him entry each time. He is now asking the courts to force them to “air out their demons” so that he may see if he has been properly compensated. We will have more on this story as it develops.
